Most people have to pay a psychologist for this kind of mental help.
Okay, I know it’s borderline totally narcissistic to actually put a post on your own blog about something awesome written about you on another blog, but…wait for it…tough shit. I’m doing it.
Not for myself, for you. Because you need me to take over functional oversight of Earth one day, and in order for me to do that, I have to spread the word about how great I am.
In all seriousness, though, I’m just thrilled to know there’s at least one psychologist in the world who thinks I’m all right. Dr. Helen writes:
…sometimes I think people read blogs because the blogger has a personality or has traits the reader aspires to have but does not, or has in a very small degree but the blogger has it in spades.
Let me give you an example. I recently started reading Rachel Lucas’s blog. She blogged a while ago, I think, and quit and then recently came back. My husband was the one who started telling me to read her blog, and I would, occasionally, look at something she posted and then I realized one day that I was…hooked. Lucas writes rants, about everything from her dogs humping to why people don’t treat their parents better and she does it with such flare that her subjects might be better off if she actually used a sword against them, rather than her pen–or in this case, her keyboard.
Do I admire that? You better believe I do. Could I do it or would I do it? Doubtful–it’s not my style but it is a style that I admire. There is another side of myself that I wish I had fine-tuned more but didn’t…
I’m gonna go ahead and embarrass myself by saying how stunned I was when I read that post (she’s one of my regular reads and I didn’t exactly expect to see my name pop up there) and how flattered and genuinely amazed I am that a woman like Dr. Helen would ever in a million years aspire to be anything like me. You do realize she’s a PhD’ed forensic psychologist, is beautiful, is married to Glenn Reynolds, and is roughly 752% smarter than me?
The ironic thing is that she’s the one I wish I could be more like: calm, in control, highly educated, diplomatic-in-the-good-way, and warm. Talk about wishing you’d fine-tuned other parts of yourself, there’s my list right there.
You know how after reading my blog, you kinda feel like if you met me in person I might punch you in the arm? Yeah. When I read Dr. Helen, I feel like if I met her in person, she’d give me a hug. And possibly a prescription.
I love the internet, where you can find people so different from you who still like you, and you them.
And to answer the open question at the end of her post about alter egos and which bloggers you wish you were more like, I’d say not only Dr. Helen herself for that warmness and the brains, but on the other side, Ace of Spades because damn, that guy is funny. One of the reasons I stopped cussing so much is because I realized I can just never ever do it the way he does. A few weeks ago he said something about the Democrats (or somebody) being “seriously butthurt” over some scandal. “Butthurt” is now my favorite word in all the world. I’ve been using it to threaten Sunny when she’s a bad dog, and it’s working.
Anyway, what about you turkeys? Tell me who your favorite bloggers are and why. Do it.

Bill Whittle. He’s got more writing talent in his index finger than I do in my entire body.
March 31st, 2008 at 9:44 amWell, I check your blog EVERY single day. Usually even on the weekends. I’m completely addicted. I love the humor, the sarcasm, the wit, and the true wisdom and logic. I wish I could write so well.
And I also check Instapundit daily. That’s how I found you originally.
Otherwise I hit random blogs at various points during the week. I have some of my favorite non-jewelry / craft related listed on my blog. And I discovered Entrecard which is AWESOME and you totally need to sing up.
I’ve found some incredible blogs that I never would have found otherwise.
March 31st, 2008 at 9:45 amI can’t possibly be first. Wow.
Rachl Lukis is one of my daily stops. ‘Nuff said.
I also read CPT Jason van Steenwyck (iraqnow.blogspot.com) daily (or would if he posted daily). He writing on the war and all things Army are spot-on. Even when he doesn’t post his archives rock. Some of his moonbat beat-downs are, well, Whittle-esque.
I try not to let a day go by without visiting one or both of the du Toit blogs. (There’s so much there between the multiple daily posts of Kim and the Mrs., the GunThing, the Nation of Riflemen, etc., etc.)
March 31st, 2008 at 9:45 amcasto reminds me: It might be a cool topic (different thread maybe) to find out how your sixteen regular readers got “here”.
For me it was James Lileks > Steven den Beste > Bill Whittle > Rachl Lukis. (Only four degrees of blog separation!)
March 31st, 2008 at 9:47 amOh, and Kevin Baker at The Smallest Minority. (And The Volokh Conspiracy but only if you have hours to read comments…. I call Volokh’s comments “the Rabbit Hole”.)
March 31st, 2008 at 9:49 amYou just jumped the shark!
March 31st, 2008 at 9:52 amYou are on my list of the top five, along with Kim Dutoit, Glen Reynolds, Blackfive and Michelle Malkin. Oh, and I can’t forget Patterico.
March 31st, 2008 at 9:54 ambarsinister has a list close to mine.
If nothing but for the humor, my wife and read Pioneer Woman’s blog (http://thepioneerwoman.com/).
March 31st, 2008 at 10:20 amMy list of favorite bloggers:
You
TwoNervousDogs girl
SarahK
and a few here you may or may not have heard about:
Amalah : (not cause I want kids but because she’s funny, to me)
Miss Doxie: (if she would ever update again)
Boobs, Injuries and Dr. Pepper: (Weird name but damn, what a writer)
Dad Gone Mad
Cup Of Love
Every one of these blogs I read on a daily basis, am bummed if they aren’t updated and enjoy the hell out of. The reason I enjoy them so much is because they all talk about things that happen in their lives, their experiences, how they see the world, how they react to it, they ALL have a damn fine sense of humor and they have all impacted me in many ways…just like the Dr said, they all have qualities that I either have a little bit of but wish to have more of or they have qualities I wish I had but do not…yet.
This may sound silly but all of these writers, in their own way, make me a better person for various reasons.
They may not be political blogs but I’ve found myself to be far more interested in the person behind the blog over their political view points.
March 31st, 2008 at 10:24 amMy two favorites are “Hurricane Mikey” and you.
March 31st, 2008 at 10:38 amNeal Boortz Boortz.com
Kim du Toit (theothersideofkim.com)
Emperor Misha (nicedoggie.net)
Steve Graham (hogonice.com)

March 31st, 2008 at 10:38 amI originally found your blog via an instapundit link, like probably a ton of your readers. As to why I read your blog? Well, I, like most guys, in the past have dated women who were absolutely bonkers crazy. And one thing about those women, they may drive you nuts, but you have a lot of fun with them and they’re never boring.
Reading your blog is a little bit like that, except without all the downsides.
March 31st, 2008 at 10:42 amBill Whittle. Glenn Reynolds. Rachel Lucas. Baldilocks. JustOneMinute (Tom Maguire). Iconic Midwest (Rich Horton). Ed Morrisey (now at Hot Air). Whatever (John Scalzi). Jay Cost. Stubborn Facts (self-promo). There’s a whole lot more I hit when I have spare time, but those are my regular rounds.
Aside from Glenn Reynolds (best “pointer” blog to important stuff EVAH) I read them all for the good writing and intelligent ranting.
March 31st, 2008 at 10:46 amI found your blog a few weeks ago and it became my #1 one to check when I put it on my blackberry browser bookmarks.
Others I really like
Flopping Aces
March 31st, 2008 at 10:49 amBoots and Sabers (how I found out about yours)
LGF
Army of Dog (thru your blogroll)
michael yon. though he is less blog and more major news source now. why? do you really need to ask?
March 31st, 2008 at 10:51 amI found you at Bill Whittle’s, and your now my first stop of the day (and I check in for periodic updates). I used to check Bill’s every day, but now I’m down to every couple of days.
After I read you, I check in at Mrs. du Toits … can’t get Kim’s site from work. My favorite Canadian gal is next, Wonder Woman, and then Neal Boortz.
I’ve got some other occasional ones that I keep up with (Dr. Adams, Ann Coulter, etc) … but the first list is the daily “crew”.
I come here because you make me smile, and I like the rants best. It’s refeshing to find there are actually some NON-psychotic folks around!
March 31st, 2008 at 10:54 amDo you really want a prescription from a Forensic psychologist?
On the other hand if she wanted to take me to the range for a little shooting….
DoubleTapper
March 31st, 2008 at 10:55 amDoubleTapper@gmail.com
DoubleTapper, blogging on Guns Politics Defense from Israel
I only have three daily reads:
Ace - but I don’t read Malor’s stuff - boring. The commenters are hilarious, though.
HotAir - not too keen on Morrissey’s stuff either, though I’ll skim it - mostly boring without a shred of teh funny.
Rachl Lukis - my favorite where I read everything.
I check Misha several times a week; IMAO and and LGF once a week or so.
Two Nervous Dogs cracked me up, but I think she’s taking some downtime, which is a bummer because I’d just gotten hooked, and now she’s gone.
Lastly, I check Whittle every month or so to see if he’s published another opus.
March 31st, 2008 at 10:55 amI used to read Clubbeaux until he pulled up stakes and moved to Turkey.
Loved Cathy Seipp’s blog.
The only other blog I read regularly is HogOnIce. Lately Steve is writing almost exclusively about guns, and I’m an imbecile when it comes to such items, so it’s Greek to me.
March 31st, 2008 at 10:56 amI didn’t read Blue Eyed Infidel more than a handful of times, but ever since you started this version up, I think I’ve read everything on it at least twice. I got here through Ace who is my favorite blogger, and first stop every morning and after work.
I like Jeff Goldstein (Protein Wisdom) for his long posts on identity politics and such, but unfortunately he hasn’t been around too much for the past year. Other favorites for writing style are Lileks, Kim du Toit, Frank J, and Allah.
For content/perspective, but not so much writing style, I like Instapundit Volokh Conspiracy, Karol (Alarming News). And finally, if there was someone who I could get to come back and blog fulltime, it would be Michele Catalano from A Small Victory.
March 31st, 2008 at 10:57 amI check your site several times a day. The rest on my hitlist are (in no particular order):
Michelle Malkin
Ace of Spades
BlackFive
Confederate Yankee
Melanie Morgan
Charlie Daniels (weekly)
Walter E. Williams (weekly)
Atlas Shrugs
And for a gut check (as in how strong is your stomach TODAY). These are for the times when I feel like tasting the bile in the back of my throat (just because…)
Daily Kos
March 31st, 2008 at 11:06 amHuffington Post
I’ve been reading this blog since way back in the day, don’t quite remember how I stumbled upon it though. Must’ve been something in the Whittle/du Toit/den Beste universe that got me here.
Besides you and Kim, I also read Ace every day, and on my days off I play a drinking game with Instapundit. (Every time he says “heh” or “indeed”…)
And thanks to Big Tips for saying that I’m one of her favorites. Good to know that somebody is reading my drivel. But I only get 500 visitors a day, not 5000. Perhaps if I posted some humiliating dog photos once in awhile…
March 31st, 2008 at 11:12 amThe Corner at NRO - great discourse from some really intelligent folks.
All the biggies already mentioned, including you!
Is it crass to say I think my own blog is pretty good?
March 31st, 2008 at 11:17 amI found you through Instapundit, which I use as a steady source of information. Totten and Yon take care of my Iraq fix. Slashdot and Ars Technica keep me up on tech issues. Fark and Fazed are good for the sillier side of news. Past that, it just kind of varies depending on my mood.
March 31st, 2008 at 11:22 amBlonde Sagacity, Right Wing News. Used to read Barking Moonbat, but after the Skipper died it just was not the same.
BTW, Dr. H used the word “flare” incorrectly. Except maybe not since she was writing about you, R.

March 31st, 2008 at 11:39 amDenBeste, Whittle, Reynolds, and you from way back. I’m pretty sure I was commanded by you at some point to go read Whittle and I’ve been hooked ever since. Oh, and Stephen Green is pretty good too.
I was exremely bummed during your absence and ecstatic since you’ve been back
March 31st, 2008 at 11:40 amIn no particular order: Rachl Lukis, Michelle Malkin, Misha, Whittle, Cold Fury, and Kim du Toit. With occasional stops at Chez Lileks and a truly twisted site called Ask Dr. Eldritch. My own blog, unfortunately, suffers from lack of attention, which is why I don’t bother reading it very often.
March 31st, 2008 at 11:48 amThe guys at the Rot
Kim Du Toit
Yours- (Do you have any sisters? Age 18-21?)
And speaking of shotguns as sleep aides, I live in Waco (already a bad place) WAY outside the Baylor bubble and came pretty close to needing my guns last night. The local gang was out in my street tagging buildings and being general degenerates.
The 12 guage and the AR-10 stayed very close to hand all night.
March 31st, 2008 at 11:55 amOh, you did not either just jump the shark - whoever said that was being silly.
Your site is the only one I look at everyday (unless you consider Cheezburger a ‘blog’.) I check in with Misha once in awhile. Other blogs I visit are usually the result of me clicking on whatever you tell me to in one of your posts. You are about the only person left on the planet I just mindlessly conform to and do whatever you say -everyone else gets run through some critical thinking and many are told to shove off.
March 31st, 2008 at 11:56 amI cant beleive no one has mentioned “iowahawk”, that guy is the best satirist i’ve ever read! other than whittle, he’s one of the few that actually makes me laff out loud! i found you thru the “whittle to lileks to lucas ” pipeline, all hilarious and they exactly parallel my political and social thoughts. But in my mind Iowahawk is without question is the funniest and and should run for president. (of course i read “MM and lgf and jihadwatch for the hard news. also, try “iraqwarwaswrongblog” both blogger and commenters are hilarious.
March 31st, 2008 at 12:00 pmAce, FrankJ, Jeff Goldstein, and my brother.
March 31st, 2008 at 12:04 pmOnly 500 Mikey? I’m thrilled if I get over 50! LOL
March 31st, 2008 at 12:16 pmJack Kinsella @ omegaletter.com is a fascinating website mainly authored by an ex-marine. His is a gifted interpreter of Bible prophecy and it’s relevance to current events.
Hal Lindsey’s videos @ hallindsey.org keep me alert to what in the hell is going on in the world this week. And I get to look at it all from the perspective of a Bible scholar specializing in Bible prophecy. Not something I would try on my own. Left to my own devices, I’d end up at the peyote church in EBF Arizona and never return to civilization.
Joseph Farah @ WND.com has lots and lots of essayists that sift through the Left’s bullshit with simple eloquence that confidently thrashes argument after argument.
Neal Boortz’ Neal’s News @ boortz.com keeps me up to date regarding socialism’s steady march toward dominating America’s state and federal govenments.
Plancksconstant.org - Bernie is sagacious with no apologies. Telling it like it is regarding what could be the most dangerous ideology in history. And he posts beautiful pictures.
Rachel Lucas - I feel like we are all pen pals here and that I can proseltyze a little bit without having a horrible argument that pisses you off to the point of never asking people about their faith in Christ Jesus ever again. I think I found you after a google looking for “shopping rants”. I was wondering if I was the only fucker out here who has issues with tolerance while dealing with… damn, you say it, I can’t get it out quite the same. I guess I rant vicariously through you and give it a shot in your comments. Thanks again for your hospitality. Glad you liked the cd’s and that you got them in time.
Wizbangblog & all the affiliates there - I get to see lots of viewpoints and see how people can correspond with opposing viewpoints in a civil manner (except on Blue, those guys are ASSHOLES).
Bill Whittle has the ability to see the bigger pictures involved in current events and explain it in layman’s terms. He is patriotic and proud of America. We need more of that. Big time. I am amazed at what I realize I understand after I read his stuff. Like I almost had the same damn essay in the back of my mind but just could not access the files.
Kim Du Toit. Second ammendment advocacy.
March 31st, 2008 at 12:18 pmHey, old timers (H. Mikey, ccat, etc.)

I read these bloggers because they can articulate (unbelievably well) what I am thinking.
March 31st, 2008 at 12:38 pmFlare? I’ve found a number of your posts to be written with “flare”
March 31st, 2008 at 12:40 pmDr Helen mentions you write with “flare”. Now, most people might write with some “flair”, and you do, but writing with “flare” is so spot-on it’s hard to believe that was a homonymic error.
Insty (my home page), Volokh, Powerline, QandO, Lileks, Rand Simberg, LawDog. Kevin at Smallest Minority. Assorted local-to-California sites. Xavier and GeekWithA.45, and fora where they write/moderate.

Was this a nod to Sunny in some veiled way?
March 31st, 2008 at 12:49 pmAce’s commentors are frakkin’ hilarious.

March 31st, 2008 at 12:56 pmRick - until I got to your comment I was shocked no one had Lex on their list either. For me:
Neptunus Lex
Rachel Lucas
Villainous Company
Hot Air
Town Hall
CNN (after which I go to Hot Air)
And like a couple of others, I wade into Daily Kos and HuffPo on the rare occasion I want to feel like I’m eating a glass sandwich.
Came to Blue Eyed Infidel way in the way back thru Lt. Smash (who is now off the air, pity). Can’t quite remember how I got to Rachel Lucas…
March 31st, 2008 at 12:57 pmMost of mine have been mentioned. I’ve been reading LT G a lot lately–I think his writing is excellent and evocative. Very high quality work. Read him now before he gets promoted to CPT and they lobotomize him.

March 31st, 2008 at 1:18 pmIn 2002, a libertarian friend pointed me to Whittle. Bill’s blogroll became the foundation for my ongoing recovery and the opportunity to meet, in person and virtually, some really interesting folks who push my comfort zones.
Which reminds me: Cold Fury used to be on Whittle’s blogroll. I need to bake cookies for Mike this week (c:
March 31st, 2008 at 1:43 pmFound you in the Blue Eyed Infidel days through Denny at Grouchy Old Cripple.
March 31st, 2008 at 1:52 pmFelt like a good friend had moved away when you stopped.
Found you again when Denny said WooHoo! Rachel’s Back!
I read Hot Air, Boortz, LGF, GOC, Michelle Malkin, Pajamas Media, Rottie and, of course, Misha.
BTW, how can I get to your archives?
Someone mentioned the grackle wars and cat turd sausages in the comments.
I remember they were hilarious and I’d like to re-read them. Please help a computer retard.
I take every instruction from Rachel as pure gospel, so I have, in her honor, today made a little list:
298 Feeds. Some of the have to be worth reading. @ AMERICAN DIGEST
I put Rachel in because I hope, by doing so, she won’t post any more pictures of cats.
I mean CATS? WHY DID IT HAVE TO BE CATS?
What is it about cats that most women just don’t get?
Short form:
Dogs - cool.
Cats - not.
But I suspect that this will be just another MAC vs. PC argument… oh well…

March 31st, 2008 at 2:46 pmTell me, tell me, tell me do.
Google Reader tell me today.
Have all my friends had fun at play?”
I have no idea how I got here, but it was a long time ago (though I only decided to start commenting recently)
YES - I completely agree with this statement.
Instead of rehashing the same lists everyone seems to be producing, all of whom I read as often as time allows, I would say the one who writes like I would chop an arm off to write like is Tony Woodlief Sand in the Gears . Powerful and painful and poignant and some other P-words I could go find in a thesaurus if I had the time.
March 31st, 2008 at 3:08 pmI could copy my whole blogroll and paste it here. Or I could just say, “Go to my blog and take a look at the right-hand sidebar.” Which one would be less annoying?
March 31st, 2008 at 3:16 pmGot here through Bill Whittle. Sure do miss his writings. My daily visits are Rachel Lucas, Are We Lumberjacks, IMAO, The Belmont Club, Protein Wisdom, Patterico, and Dr. Sanity.
Dr. Sanity, now there is some good writing, if you want to understand the liberal mind. Mention that because nobody above seems to know about that site.
March 31st, 2008 at 3:20 pmHave I missed someone saying Curmudgeonly & Skeptical? Rodger and the Barn Army are funny and fierce.
March 31st, 2008 at 3:23 pmI came here through the “BlogSis” link from the Anti-Idiotarian Rottweiler. I can really identify with the exasperation shown towards those who so richly deserve it.
In fact, AIR is the first place I hear the term “asshat” (as in the “Leftist Asshats of Academia™”), and it just conjured up such a picture in my mind that even today, it makes me chuckle to think of it. It was also one of my sanity-keepers while I was deployed back in 2006. Somehow, being able to debate politics with other Americans made it seem like I wasn’t gone. Plus, when I would run, I would pass the “Mishal” hotel, and the way the lettering was done, it looked like the “Misha I” hotel.
And here, Rachel has that as a category!
Rachel is also one of my daily stops - and I’m loving the added content. I’ve been coming here from a link where I tagged her back before Christmas (I don’t know why she didn’t play along from Italy! heh…), but now that post is about to slide off the front page. You’ll be on my “Daily Reads” list in the next few days, Rachel, along with some incoming links for a big “wrap up” post I’m going to do now that I’m done with my ~2-month hiatus.
Others I read on a daily basis are Morgan Freeberg at House of Eratosthenes and Sig94 at Signal94. I also share many of the others’ daily stop at Neal Boortz’s program notes - I may not agree 100% with what he says, but there’s so much good information that it’s easy to overlook the other. And, we can’t forget blog-like daily e-mails - Rush Limbaugh’s “Rush in a Hurry” (why didn’t he call it “Rush in a Rush”? That’s snappy!) and James Taranto’s Best of the Web Today. And, reading today’s devotion from Our Daily Bread is a great way to start the day.
I’m sort of strange (heh - I could leave it at that and be pretty accurate) in that I don’t particularly use the sort of language that’s found in a lot of my daily reads, but I completely understand the emotion that comes from behind it. Plus, being in the military, I’ve often been around people who thought that every noun had to have an adjective - and, if there wasn’t one, “effing” would do just fine. So, don’t mind me - I’ll just be here lurking, popping my head up every so often.

I was reading your blog back in the old days, and was sad when you stopped.
It was through you that I became aware of Bill Whittle and developed the need to buy books online rather than, say, feed my children. So, thanks a lot.
Others bloggers I like: Lileks and Reynolds of course, Richard Fernandez, Kate McMillan, Tim Blair, Stephen Green, and lately Ezra Levant.
Steyn, Totten, and Yon (although that’s technically not blogging, but whatever).
I sure miss Den Beste, though.
March 31st, 2008 at 6:19 pmOh, and LeeAnn would never reveal that fact that she, of “Cheesemistress” fame, is back writing again.
I never remember reading her before, but I never miss her, now!
March 31st, 2008 at 6:20 pmOMFG!! I am a non-high school graduate and the biggest bullshit artist in the world (and I also need to go back to the top and actually read this post to figure out why my friends are secretly linking to me in comments amidst the very greateset bloggers and nicest peeps ever). Velociman, PRS, Elisson, Suzette…I mean…my God! I’m soooooooo not anywhere close to worthy of being measured up against these peeps.
OK, I just read it and it now makes more sense to me. For the record, I’ll state mine (they are not obligatorally, if that’s a real word, reciprocal) but are really some of the best friends and awesomest peeps I’ve ever met in my life (some I haven’t met) and would unflinchingly take bullets for.
In no particular order:
1. The Joanster, because she’s warm, supportive, F**KING brilliantly smart, plays kickass guitar, has a good heart, and married a really cool guy who’s just as awesome as she is.
2. Elisson is the most Mac Daddy Heimishe Blogger…something about him makes me feel like I’ve known him my whole life. And he’s not afraid to go into a housewares section of a department store and put a colander on his head…and take a photo of it….and post it.
3. Jimbo…like having a best girlfriend…’cept he’s a guy. If I could tell any one of my friends that I have a yeast infection (I do not…not currently, at least), or that I have to tweeze the odd hair out of my chin, it would be Jimbo.
4. Eric…he’s just Eric…so much to love…the big brother I always wanted…except with a twangy Tennessee accent.
5. Two Nervous Dogs…incomparable stuff…the best.
6. T…the bomb. So, so funny.
(…running out of steam here…)
Oh, and I like…
7. Craig, because he’s sort of like TND, except he’s a guy.
I know there’s more…but this is getting awfully time-consuming, and I have to get back to my paying job (oof). Wow, but this was fun…like choosing which friends of mine should get the Oscars.

I should have taken the opportunity to edit that comment when I had the chance. I did, indeed, graduate high school…I did not, OTOH, graduate from college. Not that I’m boasting about this or anything. Duuuuuhh. Just don’t want mistruths floating around the Interwebs about me, out of my own damn mouth in case one day I, you know, plan to run for public office.
March 31st, 2008 at 7:27 pmWell, this will sound like ass-kissing, but:
You, for the same reasons Dr. Helen does.
Sigmund, Carl and Alfred, friends of Dr. Helen
Mark Shea, because he’s Catholic and damned smart.
Rick Moran, at RightWingNutHouse
The Anchoress, because she is so damned reasonable.
Bill Whittle, though I wish he’d write more.
Oh, and PZ Myers and Amanda Marcotte, because they are so batshit crazy and idiotic. Pays to see what the lunatic Enemy is doing once in awhile.
March 31st, 2008 at 8:22 pmYou, of course.
My other every day, without fail, “Oh my God there’s no new posts since the last time I was here - what am I gonna read now?” blogs are Tim Blair, Andrew Bolt, James Lileks’ Bleat, Instapundit and Go Fug Yourself.
Deceiver is also rapidly becoming a favourite.

March 31st, 2008 at 8:49 pmYours is the first blog I read after work every night and the only one I try to read every day. I also read The Breda Fallacy most days. I think the 2 of you are similar in viewpoints even though you are 1000 miles apart. I got to your blog while reading Capt. Andrew Olmstead who I truly identified with and wish he were still here.
Does anyone know what happened to Lt Smash? I miss reading about protesting the Code Pink protests.
March 31st, 2008 at 9:01 pmI found you through the article about female bloggers and I’ve been reading your blog for the past few weeks now… I love it for the same reasons Dr. Helen does– obviously, her analysis is correct!
The only blogs I read daily are yours and Michelle Malkin’s… there are several others I check sporadically, though.
March 31st, 2008 at 10:08 pmAh I was trying to figure out why I was getting hits from this post. Many thanks to Erica. *grin* (Why anyone would waste their time on my blatherings when there are people like You Rachel, SarahK, Erica, Joan, Jim of Parkway Rest Stop, LeeAnn, etc, etc, etc… I see no reason at all. This would explain my usual total of about 50-60 hits a day… mostly from google. Heh)
March 31st, 2008 at 10:43 pm*thinking* I enjoy it here and over at SarahK’s. Oh, yes, I forgot, I enjoy Tammi’s World too.
I don’t read many places anymore… I used to be a HUGE C & L reader, But I stopped there, I mean, I’m progressive and all, but when they went off on General petraeus like they did… I stopped reading there… I read Hotair.com and Malkin’s Blog, sometimes… I read “I can has Cheeseburger” at least once a day and it’s sister site, “I has a Hotdog”… I also read “The Fail Blog”.
that’s really about it.

Favorite blogs: Rachel Lucas; Ace of Spades; Urgent Agenda; the Corner. And Rachel, if we were to ever meet, within 5 seconds we’d be in a bar inventing new cuss words like a pair of drunken sailors. Congratulations on your success.
April 1st, 2008 at 1:40 amSorry about the two blanks… I also have a comment in the moderation Que, can you fix rachel?
April 1st, 2008 at 1:40 amCan you say eclectic?
Ra’ch al-Luqqas
Molecule of the Day
Future Pundit
In the Pipeline
The Bleat
And yes, Rachel — you’re my first stop after a quick check of Drudge (if there’s no siren above the fold, I can safely assume no American city has been nuked; any less momentous news can wait). Gobble gobble.

April 1st, 2008 at 4:27 amI think we Rupert gets to Bagdad he is going to be surprised by the number of people in the AOR that “check-out” your blog daily.
Sorry not we, ONCE Rupert gets to Bagdad…

April 1st, 2008 at 6:42 amMy top five dailies, in no particular order
Lileks
Hog On Ice
Peeve Farm
D-Listed
And you, Rachel.
I was so happy when you came back, because you can make me laugh even when you’re making me angry about something. Plus you get the best photos of Fraulein Grumpenpantzen, which amuses the hell out of me.
I seriously want you to sell Christmas Cards with Sunny in the Santa hat.
April 1st, 2008 at 8:36 amActually, you are my favorite blogger!! So funny, so blunt, and so unapologetic! I love to get a daily dose of giggles plus some common sense insight. Thanks!

Why thank you very much! So are 0-6s not worthy?
April 1st, 2008 at 11:00 amWell, not to be a kissass or anything, but I wouldn’t be commenting here on a regular basis if I wasn’t reading you daily. You were on the list back before your break from blogging, during the hiatus and, of course, now. However, my other favorites are an eclectic group:
Hog On Ice
Neal Boortz
Everyday Stranger
The Hobo Murdering Puppy BlenderInstapundit
Q and O
A Big Victory (formerly A Small Victory)
Ace of Spades
Bill Quick
Bill Whittle
IMAO
American Digest
Cold Fury
Rightwing News
The Anti-Idiotarian Rottweiler
There are more, but now I’ll list a few others who have ceased blogging for the nonce:
Heather at Angelweave
Kelley at Suburban Blight
Aaron’s CC: (the Rantblogger)
Asparagirl
Rachel Lucas
I’d like to remove some more from the non-blogging group, but what can you do?
April 1st, 2008 at 12:41 pmA couple of others no one has mentioned yet:
Sarah @ tryingtogrok. She’s a military wife, about 26 or so. So little in common with me, but I like her honesty, patriotism and smarts.
Scott Ott @ Scrappleface. Spot on news satire with a great commentor community.
And another vote for Dr. Sanity! A little long winded at times, but her insight to the liberal think tank is enlightening. Great commentors there too.

Only 2 that I read regularly, Rachel & Protein Wisdom. I found Rachel through a link at PW.

April 1st, 2008 at 5:26 pmand you…I was directed to your site by Mikey in one of his postings. You are a daily addiction with your style of writing and pics. Keep it up!
Favorite blogs? In no particular order: your site, Instapundit, Ace of Spades, Villainous Company, Power Line, Flopping Aces, Dr. Sanity, Erica’s Blog, Gateway Pundit, Hoystory, Just One Minute, LGF, Maggie’s Farm, Michelle Malkin, Neo Neocon, Roger Simon, The Corner on National Review, Protein Wisdom, Breath of the Beast. I think I probably missed some. I should have included Bill Whittle, but he’s been kind of absent lately. To this day I can’t remember if I was led to your site by Whittle, or the other way around.
April 2nd, 2008 at 12:01 amI have two Blogs I read every day, every post. Rachel Lucas and Litle Green Footballs. I consider Bill Whittle my favorite however. His essays are nothing short of brilliant and I enthusiasticly agree with everything he writes, and he was the guy to turn me on to this blog.
April 2nd, 2008 at 12:25 pmYou are the only blogger that I ready. Period.
The only other websites I visit are on celebrity gossip (yes, please flog me) and MMORPGs.
